I heard about a man who was taking a trip in his pickup truck  He was driving in an area that wasn't familiar to him.  He came to a fork in the road.  The direction he needed to go was to the right, but there was a sign there on the right that said "Road Closed."  He looked down the road and said, "That looks fine to me."  He decided to go down the closed road. After a couple of miles, he came to where a bridge was washed out.  He turned around and drove back to that fork in the road and took the correct detour.  

We are a lot like that man.  Sometimes when God tells us what road to take, we think we know best!

Each Circle of Friends group will provide one charcuterie board.  Drinks will be provided.

SENIOR ADULT LUNCHEON
Tuesday, May 21 • 11:30 AM • Fellowship Hall
All adults, ages 55 & better, are invited to enjoy a catered meal and a program of special music.  This Sunday is the last day to sign up at a Welcome Center if you plan to attend.  Cost is $5 each.  You may bring it when you come.

Our VBS is set for June 3-6 (Monday-Thursday) this summer.  If you are willing to serve, please sign up at the Front Welcome Center or at www.oaklandbaptist.org/volunteer.

SUPER SUMMER FOR KIDS
We are looking for folks to serve during the months of June and/or July with our Children’s Summer Program.  Our Worthy Wednesdays crew will take a well deserved break to recharge for this fall.  See Bro. Dyer or sign up at the Front Welcome Center if you can help!
