There are two days we should not worry about.  One is yesterday, with its mistakes and blunders, aches and pains.  Yesterday is gone.  The other day we shouldn’t worry about is tomorrow, with its burden, its hopeful promise, and poor performance.  Tomorrow is beyond our control.  Until tomorrow‘s sun rises, we have no stake in it. It is yet unborn.
 
That leaves only one day – today.  Any person can fight the battles of just one day.  It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.
 
So…Lord, help me live one day at a time!

SAMARITAN’S PURSE MINISTRY
Anyone who would like to pack a box for Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse) on their own still has time.  Empty boxes are located in the A-Wing Stairwell, across from the Library.  Please follow the instructions on the brochure inside the box for packing and return it to the church by Wednesday, November 12.  If you are unable to pack a box, but would like to help with the cost of shipping, please put your money in an offering envelope and write “Samaritan’s Purse” on it.

OBC CHAPTER & VERSE BOOK CLUB
The first meeting of the new Oakland Chapter & Verse Book Club will be held Wednesday, November 12, at 10:00 am in the Bride’s Room.  The club will be led by Mrs. Barbara Wayne.  Any ladies interested in learning more are welcome to attend.
