A few years ago, a woman in New Mexico was frying tortillas.  One of the tortillas burned.  The result was an image that looked like a face.  She thought it looked like the face of Jesus.  She took the tortilla to her priest.  He blessed it.  The woman and her husband took the tortilla back home.  They put it in a box and built an altar around it.  They started praying there.  Word spread about the holy tortilla.  Thousands of people have visited their home to pray before the tortilla.
 
People are desperate to get a glimpse of Jesus.  I wonder if people can see Jesus in your life?

SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY
We are excited to announce the beginning of a Special Needs Ministry.  This ministry is being developed to lovingly serve children and families with special needs by providing a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment where everyone can grow in their faith and feel valued as part of our church family.  If you are interested in learning more, getting involved or have questions about this ministry, please contact Bro. KID’S SUMMER CAMP
June 18-20 • Central Hills Baptist Retreat
Our Children’s Ministry is excited about this summer’s Kid’s Camp.  The camp is for current 3rd - 6th graders and will be a fun-filled time of games, worship, Bible Study, and outdoor activities designed to help kids grow in their faith while building lasting friendships.  Registration is now open and space is limited.  Register at oaklandbaptist.org or on the Church App to reserve your child’s spot!

2025 GIVING STATEMENTS
The annual giving statements are now being distributed.  To request your statement, please complete the form located at the Front Welcome Center and drop it in one of the offering boxes or call the Church Office (662.287.3118).

FULL-TIME JOB OPENING
Oakland Baptist Church is accepting applications for a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for the Children/Family Minister.  Application and job description are available in the Church Office and must be turned in by February 1.

VALENTINE BANQUET
Sunday, February 15 • 6:00-8:00 PM • Oakland
Register online at oaklandbaptist.org or on the OBC app.  Registration forms/envelopes are also available at the Women’s Ministry table in the foyers.  Cost is $10 per person.  Childcare provided for birth-6th grade.  You must register your children for childcare.   Deadline to sign up is February 8!

EMBRACE GRACE & EMBRACE LIFE MINISTRY
Volunteers are needed in the following areas: Leader Assistant, Communications & Outreach, Volunteer Coordinator, Prayer Team, Baby Shower Organizer, Gift List Manager, Photographer, and Baby Closet Donations Organizer.  If you are interested in ministering to single mothers in our community, please contact Vicki Gann (662.415.6446).
