From Our Pastor
In 1954, Roger Bannister did what many thought was impossible. For years, doctors, scientists, and athletes all said the human body could not run a mile in less than four minutes. They insisted the heart would burst or the lungs would collapse under the strain. Bannister trained relentlessly. On May 6, 1954, he ran the mile in three minutes and fifty-nine seconds. Today, hundreds of runners have broken the same barrier.
Many of us live our lives in a similar way. We convince ourselves that our best days are behind us and that our prayers cannot be answered. The truth is…the barrier is not in God’s power, but in our faith.
