I have always wanted to be like my dad.  When I was growing up, I wanted to be strong like my dad.  
I wanted to be able to shoot a gun like my dad.  I wanted to be able to cook chili like my dad.
 
Sadly, I have not been able to realize any of those desires.  But now that I am grown up, I have a new set of desires.  I still want to be like my dad, but in different ways.  Now, I want to live with my wife 60+ years like my dad.  I want to raise godly children and grandchildren like my dad.  I want to finish my life as a man of integrity like my dad.  
I want to love the local and worldwide church like my dad.  
I want to prioritize the eternal in my time, treasures, and talents like my dad.
