From Our Pastor

Years ago, a small church in Kentucky made headlines when it closed its doors after 102 years of ministry.  The final members, just five elderly individuals, held one last service through their tears.  One said, “It wasn’t that people hated church, they just started putting other things first.  First it was baseball, then it was lake weekends, and before long, church was on afterthought.  We lost our church one little red wagon at a time.”

That small red wagon stood in the foyer of the little church, once filled with food for the needy.  But over time, it gathered dust.  No more peanut butter jars, no more rice or beans, just cobwebs!  A symbol of what happens when people don’t put God first.  Families stopped giving their time and talents.  A church that once thrived, died.
