A small girl had been hearing her brother talk about his favorite spot to play. It was at the top of a nearby hill. Her brother promised to take her the next time he went. But when she came within sight of the steep, high, rough path, she drew back and was afraid. She said, “Why, there isn’t a smooth spot anywhere. It’s all bumpy and stony.”
“Yes,“ said her more experienced older brother, “but how else would we ever climb to the top if it wasn’t? The stones and bumps are what we step on to get there!”

Join us as LATREO from Mobile, Alabama will be leading us in a Night of Worship featuring original music written by Will Wayne, plus other well known worship songs. Free admission. A love offering will be taken.
SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY
We are excited to announce the beginning of a Special Needs Ministry. This ministry is being developed to lovingly serve children and families with special needs by providing a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment where everyone can grow in their faith and feel valued as part of our church family. If you are interested in learning more, getting involved or have questions about this ministry, please contact Bro. Chris.
KID’S SUMMER CAMP
June 18-20 • Central Hills Baptist Retreat
Our Children’s Ministry is excited about this summer’s Kid’s Camp. The camp is for current 3rd - 6th graders and will be a fun-filled time of games, worship, Bible Study, and outdoor activities designed to help kids grow in their faith while building lasting friendships. Registration is now open and space is limited. Register at oaklandbaptist.org or on the Church App to reserve your child’s spot!

The annual giving statements are now being distributed. To request your statement, please complete the form located at the Front Welcome Center and drop it in one of the offering boxes or call the Church Office (662.287.3118).

Oakland Baptist Church is accepting applications for a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for the Children/Family Minister. Application and job description are available in the Church Office and must be turned in by February 1.
